MACC at community events play a vital role in substance prevention efforts by setting up informative tables to engage with attendees. These tables serve as a focal point for distributing crucial information and resources to promote awareness and education while also giving younger volunteers and HOPE members a chance to educate their peers.

March 2, 2024 was Chatham Chamber of Commerce first Health and Wellness Fair. MACC had a table with educational materials on drugs, alcohol, and mental health. This event was a great opportunity for our youth to engage with the public and other stakeholders within Chatham.

National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week

National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week is in April. MACC recognizes this week by collaborating with the High School to set up a table during students lunch period to help bring awareness to the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

Every year members of HOPE (sponsored by MACC) partners with a Chatham High School club to have an informational table at the Chatham High School Wellness Fair. At the fair, students get to educate their peers on the dangers of drugs and alcohol. This is a great opportunity for HOPE members to be a role model and set an example on how to live a drug and alcohol free life!
