Sticker Shock
Sticker Shock brings awareness towards underage drinking by displaying stickers on beer/seltzer packaging as a "warning label". The stickers inform the public of the consequences they can face if they provide or purchase alcohol for minors.
Kind Minds
February is Random Acts of Kindness Month. Research shows that helping others can be good for our mental health. On February 2, 2024 HOPE encouraged students to write down their "random act of kindness". Kindness tokens and kindness calendars were handed out to students that participated.
National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week
National Drug and Alcohol Week is in April. MACC recognizes this week by collaborated with the High School to set up a table during students lunch period to help bring awareness to the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
Chamber of Commerce Health Fair
March 2, 2024 was the Chatham Chamber of Commerce first Health and Wellness Fair. MACC had a table with educational materials on drugs and alcohol.
High School Wellness Fair
Every year youth members of HOPE (which is sponsored by MACC) partners with a Chatham High School Club to have a table at the High School Wellness Fair. At the fair, students get to educate their peers on the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
Footprints For Life
Footprints for Life is a research-based primary prevention program that builds assets and teaches important life skills to students in grades two and three. Through the use of puppets and stories that feature “real life” situations experienced by a children’s soccer team.
